Comic 902 – Not the few
Baker Notes
Hello my cookies!
Apologies for last week. My internet died and everything related to how these pages are made were paused big time. I hope seeing Hos deconstruct “rear holes” was worth the wait.
So, answer me this, Do you buy Hos’ theatrics right now or you think he’s being over dramatic?
Man of the people when it comes to clothing
You know it gorgeous (stares at own claws)
wait that seems backwards. wouldn’t the “needs of the few” be what he is addressing here?
It is referenced the other way around, since the ones not thinking of the people are the corporations. Meaning the the “few” are not thinking of the MANY
The ‘needs of the few’ in this case are the companies who will cut costs by standardising clothing. In humans, who mostly have the same basic body type, “the many”, the “average” would be catered for.
The problem with lycans, is that “the many” have many, many different body types. Not just tails, but legs, torsos, arms etc…
Small, medium and large isn’t going to cover them
Tell us more about “tight rear hole,” Hos.
Well you see mr Gabo, the Master of Shrooms is a Short tail Bobcat. Meaning that if the rear hole of her clothing is not a tight fit, it will slide on and off at the smallest movement. (Although she will need quite a big hole considering her… size.)
Huh. Now this is an interesting angle. So ‘master of fashion’ is not just dictating fashion, but rather making sure that the correct clothes are made that suit all lycans.
Until now I had been wondering why state controlled clothing was needed, but considering that lycan bodies vary significantly, having the government ensure that all lycan bodies are covered makes more sense. Actually, now that I think of it, lycans likely equate clothes with civilisation, to wear clothing is to show they are not animals. That may be why the position “master of fashions” existed in the first place.
Of course, it doesn’t matter for wealthy lycans, they can afford their own tailors, but Hos is right about the common lycans.
A fascinating idea. Definitely seems credible. And if true, it may also partly explain why the Circle has been at odds with the Silverfang Tribe, which if seem to be a rather simplistic tribe of Lycans, if Francis is anything to go off of. The Circle and the previous Queens might have seen them as uncivilized Barbarians and opposed to the will of Tyr. Definitely fits with Meliza’s personality, wouldn’t be surprised if her Mother and Grandmother were the same way as well. But I digress, it is just a guess.
Do I believe Hos’ Dramatics? Yes, I think it shows how passionate he is about his work and how much thought he puts into it.
I have no clue what I did there…
