Comic 870 – Ivory Absentee
Baker Notes
Hello my cookies!
Even if escalated, we have to keep in mind that while we were watching Nelly’s and Luna’s fight, this group has been going at it for a while, resulting in Pucho’s mangled state. Last we saw them, Pucho was ranting out all the stupid things he does on the usual. I know that Pituka is coming off as VERY cruel… but sadly… she is correct, even if Francis has tried to keep an eye on her, the last time they met like this, Pituka was a CHILD.
So, answer me this, What do you think of Francis and Missy’s parenting strategy so far?
What kind of parenting is that? He’s not causing any problems…
Right? Like, Pucho is about as harmful as an easily excitable puppy.
You seem to have forgotten how powerful Pucho really is, for all we know since he hasn’t woken up he might end up remembering his old self or is about to go berserk mode.
Oooo, I was just thinking about how it would be interesting to see the return of Dante. Seems that I am not the only one. However, you are correct, Dante might indeed go on a rampage if he were to return. However, at this moment, Dante no longer exists, he died when he became bitten. Pucho is, in my opinion, the shattered remains of Dante’s mind, which seems to be relatively harmless, aside from his occasional outbursts.
Oh dear… *sigh* can’t take that one back…
Why is he so dead set against him? I know Pucho has a habit of getting into bad situations, but granted everything that has happened, everyone else seems to have that habit as well. He is harmless as a fly, if you look past the whole curse of destruction part… Besides, when are you going to find some one who will see Pituka as herself and not the daughter of Melliza?
Quite frankly? Not good… I get that they wanted to protect her by keeping away to avoid drawing Melliza’s attention, but she grew up for the most part without parents, as an orphan. She had to pretty much take care of herself and fend for herself and had no one else to fall back on if things went wrong… Not to mention the whole traumatic childhood thing, which she is still struggling with and still needs therapy for… Missy tried to watch over her, but that really doesn’t make up for the lack of any parental figure in Pituka’s life… As cruel as it is, they’ve done nothing up to this point, and Pituka is essentially an adult who can make her own decisions now. Like it or not, Francis nor Missy have any real say in the choices she makes…
Just hope that this doesn’t end with Francis leaving again…
First step in parenting is pairing up…. on that note, Francis f$@#ed the pooch royally… and I’m not a huge fan of puns… but…. yeah… (pairing up with Missy later was a step up)
Second step is shelter and resources.
Third is teaching the child, Missy scrapes by on that, Francis didn’t even try.
Fourth is encouraging independent survival and general success as the kid begins to branch out on their own. Francis is doing the opposite. Why hasn’t Missy beat him yet?
Parenting a secret illegitimate royal child is slightly different than the normal way, historically. Hard to parent being in prison for treason or being the nanny/secret adoptive mother. They did their best. Until Dante’s old memories merge with the new him, he doesn’t have a chance to grow into a safe choice.
Not a fan of his parenting skills, no.
Francis, just go the route of the stereotypical father-in-law and passive-aggressively dislike Pucho, instead. Trying to hurt him or worse will just turn Pituka against you.
In my own defense, I came at this from my own life perspective. Mother, yes. Father, yes but dismissive of me or my potential. And as far as self’s gender could be bothered to be concerned, equally as dismissive. The other gender has also tended to be just as dismissive of me, so I left that nauseating field of pain.
I apologize to everyone here. Sometimes I get so miffed by situations near mirroring my own that I kind of lose it emotionally. Normally, I quietly keep the directly above to myself. Today was kind of an uncorking of sorts.
