Comic 907 – A curse vow
Baker Notes
Hello my cookies!
Time for the sneak lad to step up to the podium. Understandably, he sees the heat he would get for standing for Hos, he know to fear the Queen, his plan to use a proxy to undermine her would be much more difficult with him as the sponsor who stood up for him here. However, Astrid has grown to be fiercely loyal to Hos and believes in him, she won’t allow this betrayal.
Do you like Mr Tyne?
Yeah?
Mr. Tyne is one of those characters you like because of how much you can hate the guy. Absolutely beautiful story-telling.
Astrid over here looking like an old school church marm about to whip out her ruler and beat some AYUSS.
I dig it. Dreamie gets two thumbs up for lookin’ good.
The jury is still out whether or not her blind support of Hos while he’s doing his flashy flash routine in front of the entire Lycan Circle, is a bad choice or not. Tyne might not be liked, but he’s still a Circle member.
And she got some crazy eyes going on there in the last panel. Intimidating shorties now, Astrid? How the might doth kneel.
He’s toast.
Mr Tyne is far too cautious. If he doesn’t step in now, he’ll not only lose Hos as a political pawn, he’ll have to wait indefinitely until some other council position opens up, and for some other perfect candidate he can manipulate.
Even without Astrid’s curse/vow, Sir Tyne won’t be able to avoid any backlash once Hos is able to open his mouth again after he’s out of the Queen’s range.
If Sir Tyne really wants to look good, he better do the right thing now, even if it makes his long term goal harder or he won’t have any chance at his long term goal at all.
Mr. Tyne doesn’t look like he cared about Liondress’s position. He just want to be friends with The Inner Circle via business as plan B in case her position was dismissed.
mmmm…. Me as the Dark Lord of Hell, I will certainly step up for Hos.
Yet, AStrid is quite kind to limit herself to just a curse…
Me, otherwise… “Like ten thousands Hells will come over him!!”
Just saying! Nya! ^w^
Whoa, Astrid pulling out the good old fashion Ancient Egyptian “A Curse Upon You” to remind Tyne, that a Deal goes both ways and that she has no forgiveness to those who breaks their vows. She’s got a point… Had Hos not intervened, that Circle would have scrapped the position outright. The deal would have been Null and Void before it even started. It really is enjoyable to watch Astrid’s character development from where she was a subservient soldier who just did as she was told. to having formed a friendship with Hos beyond the traditional “He is a friend of my Lady, and therefore it is my duty to protect him as well.” She actually wants to see Hos genuinely succeed.
Do I like Tyne? As a character, I mean… We don’t know much about him other than he’s a scheming sleaze ball… Tyne has realized, that he might be in over his head on this scheme.
I like how he reminds me of the very real corporatists that manipulate and twist normative society secretly from the shadows…
